Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan has denied rumors that she reunited with her Tanzanian baby daddy Diamond Platnumz.
Zari on Thursday landed at the Julius Nyerere International Airport accompanied by the two children she had with Diamond who was at hand to welcome them.
The 40-year-old’s decision to visit Tanzania with Diamond’s children raised eyebrows among their fans amid hopes they will finally make up.
However, while speaking to press at the airport, Zari claimed that Diamond only wanted to see children rather talking about their reunion.
“There is a whole lot of things happening on social media,” Zari told journalists before adding.
“Lakini for me I just brought the kids because their father wants to see them na hakuweza kukuja kwa sababu.”
“I think he got lots of things lined-up for him. He really wanted to see the kids. It’s been two years.”
“We’re co-parenting and even if he got somebody, I can still come because it’s home for the kids regardless of what happened between us.”
“There’s one thing we as Africans don’t understand. We don’t know what is called co-parenting.”
“Even if you got somebody, I can still come because it’s home for the kids.”
“Regardless of what happened between us because we are co-parenting.”
“A lot of people are saying we gotten back (but) no I’m just here for the kids,” she noted.
Zari and Diamond got a nasty break-up in 2017 and they had not been in talking terms for over a year with Zari accusing Diamond of being a deadbeat dad to Nylan and Tiffah.
These new developments come a few months after Diamond broke up with his Kenyan singer girlfriend and mother of one of his children, Tanasha Donna.
Tanasha and Diamond eventually broke up in March after dating for a year.
