Tammy Abraham scored the opener making it his eighth goal of the season to put the blues in the lead at half time. But Victor Osimhen leveled matters before the break with his seventh goal for the League 1 side.
Kepa Arrizabalaga made a couple of saves in the second half to keep the Blues in the game. It was not game over yet until Willian scored a beautiful volley from Hudson-Odoi’s cross to put Chelsea ahead. This got Frank Lampard’s side off the mark in Group H.

Chelsea travels to Southampton on Renault Super Sunday in the Premier League. However, Chelsea resumes their Champions League campaign away at Ajax on October 23, while Lille host Valencia on the same day.
