Uganda to receive it’s first Grammy Award this year- Grenade vows to win one

Singer Grenade Official has vowed to win the first Grammy Award the country has ever seen this year.

He said this while appearing on NBS After program.

The singer did not only aim for the stars but the sun too as he said that he will also fill the O2 Arena in London too.

“This year, I want to fill London’s stadium, 02 Arena and also bring a Grammy Award to Uganda. I therefore ask all Ugandans to support us,” he said.

According to the Nkuloga singer, Ugandan music has a lot of potential to break barriers.

Its however the fan base that let’s it down.

He therefore asked Ugandans to take a leaf from Nigerians who don’t entertain anything foreign.

In regards to the drugs that are tearing the industry down, Grenade said that he lived on the streets while growing up but never fell into the trap of using them.

“What I liked about Nigerians is the fact that they welcome everyone, support themselves and it’s hard for them to embrace what’s foreign.

For the drugs, I was on the streets but didn’t do drugs, and so I survived drugs where I would have embraced them,” he added.

The singer will therefore have to emulate the likes of Wizkid, Burnaboy who have at least won a Grammy and filled the O2 Arena.
