SC Villa officially unveils Koukouras as new head coach

The Uganda Premier League champions SC Villa have unveiled Greek Petros Koukouras as their new head coach.

SC Villa aims at revamping their squad ahead of the 2021/22 season.

The Greek coach formerly managed South Sudan.

He will be assisted by Jackson ‘Nelly’ Magera and Richard Amatre as first and second assistant coach respectively.

The trio has signed a three year contract with the record league winners taking over from Edward Kaziba.

Phillip Ssozi stays on as the youths coach and so is goalkeeping coach Mubarak Kiberu.

“SC Villa is the most successful club and I could not resist the offer when the approached me,” Koukouras said.

“We have a lot of work ahead of us and it is not the right time to do the talking,” he added.

Villa have also confirmed they will host their games at Fufa Technical Centre Njeru.
