Ronaldo posts pic with baby girl as Georgina Rodriguez returns home

Cristiano Ronaldo spoke of being “home sweet home” with his loving family, days after the trauma of losing his newborn son.

Partner Georgina Rodriguez, 28, and the tragic boy’s twin sister returned home, three days after announcing their loss.

Posting on Instagram, the Manchester United legend, 37, thanked fans for their support and added.

“Now it’s time to be grateful for the life that we’ve just welcomed into this world.”

The snap showed Ronaldo cradling the newborn tot in his left arm and holding other daughter Alana Martina with his right.

On Monday, the couple had a boy and a girl, but Ronaldo posted on social media that his newborn son had died.

But last night Ronaldo said: “Home sweet home. Gio and our baby girl are finally together with us.”

“We want to thank everyone for all the kind words and gestures.”

“Your support is very important and we all felt the love and respect that you have for our family.”

“Now it’s time to be grateful for the life that we’ve just welcomed into this world.”

Last October, he confirmed he and Georgina were expecting twins but made the tragic announcement on Monday that one had died.
