United States of America President Joe Biden has congratulated his fellow head of state President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni upon the 59th independence anniversary that the country is set to celebrate.
The message comes prior to the Independence Day celebrations scheduled for Saturday 9th October the same date when the country got her independence from our colonial masters the British back in 1965.
This year’s celebrations shall be commemorated at the Kololo Independence grounds, Kampala under the theme “Celebrating our 59th Independence Day as we secure our future through National mindset Change.”
President Biden’s congratulatory message was delivered by the US ambassador to Uganda, Ms. Natalie Brown who was accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Mission at the US embassy in Kampala, Mr. Christopher Krafft.

The delegates not only delivered the congratulatory message but also went ahead to discuss crucial information relating to bilateral and regional topics. Also, the President thanked the US government for having donated covid-19 vaccines to Uganda.
On 6th September, the US government delivered 647,080 doses of Moderna and later on 20th September, the US government further delivered 1,674,270 doses of Pfizer vaccine to Uganda bringing it to a total of 2,321,350 covid-19 vaccines donated to the country.
