Pictorial: American singer Summer Walker appears almost nekkid at the BET Awards

American RnB singer Sunmer Walker’s red carpet attire was one of the highlights at the just concluded BET awards. Walker stepped onto the red carpet in an attire thay has close links to the Hmong culture.

She has since faced backlash from the community after this incident. According to Yahoo news “Centuries ago, the Hmong people were enslaved by the Chinese and forced to wear necklaces for identification. After their independence, they designed a necklace called a xuav, meaning “chain,” in remembrance of the hardships of their past. Today, xuavs are worn during traditional celebrations as a poignant symbol of the Hmong identity.”

Below are some of the pictures of Summer Walker appeared on stage for the awards and her performance
