The National Resistance Movement’s candidate Andrew Muwonge has been declared the winner of the tightly contested LC V Chairperson race for Kayunga district.
Muwonge who was tightly contesting against NUP’s Harriet Nakweede Kafeero and others won by just a margin of 450 votes.
From the campaigns, to the voting and the declaration of the winner, this election has been marred by a number of irregularities.
At first the NUP leader Bobi Wine was house arrested and stopped from going to campaign for the party flag bearer.
Ballot stuffing, violence and other irregularities were some of those mentioned yesterday during the elections.
It’s a shock to majority social media users as all signs showed that NUP was going to win the election comfortably.
Kyagulanyi has already addressed this situation.
He described this as broad day robbery and said that Ugandans will decided the next course of action.
