No more Frank Walusimbi on NTV as he throws in towel

Popular and celebrated NTV news anchor Frank Walusimbi will be making no more appearances on the Kampala Serena Hotel based TV station.

This is after he aired his last episode of the NTV Akawungeezi on the 28th of April 2022.

NTV took to their Twitter page to announce that after 15 years of service, Walusimbi was finally closing this chapter to concentrate on something else in his career.

The journalist joined the TV station in 2006 when it was initially launching and has therefore been one of tje longest serving and most loyal journalists to the station.

He graduated from Uganda Christian University in Mukono with a Bachelor’s degree in MassCommunication in 2004 before shortly working with New Vision.

Walusimbi’s departure saw a number of high ranking public officials heap praise on him.

NUP leader Bobi Wine thanked him for being a diligent and honest man while rendering his services to the country.

Prof Barnabas Nawangwe Makerere University’s vice Chancellor tasked students of Journalism across the country to look up to tje legacy of Walusimbi and try to walk in his footsteps.

And as they say, even the best dancer always walks off the stage, thank you Frank for the amazing 15 years and good luck in your next journey.
