Museveni reveals how he almost got COVID-19

The President of the Republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni revealed yesterday during his national address how he almost caught COVID-19 while in Rwanda.

Museveni was among the participants in the 2022 CHOGM summit that took place in Kigali, Rwanda a country that he hadn’t been to for years after tensions emerged between the two nations.

The NRM chief has been known for not taking off his mask ever since the pandemic broke out.

Museveni during yesterday’s national address said that he put on his mask for the main meeting. However, when they went for the smaller meeting, he removed the mask.

Unfortunately and fortunately for him, the person he was seated next to had COVID-19. He however didn’t contract it.

In regards tobthe skyrocketing commodity prices, Museveni said that these are catalyzed by fuel which is not likely to go down any time soon. He added that even when the Russia-Ukraine war is over the prices might remain high as there are plans of stopping the use of petrol. He therefore advised people to shift to using electric cars.
