Museveni lauds the Private Sector for spearheading Covid-19 vaccination.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has hailed the private companies for their contribution towards their contribution to Covid-19 vaccination

“I would like to thank the private sector, led by Uganda Breweries Limited, Safe Boda, NICE-UG, Coca-Cola, Vision Group, NBS, and others for contributing to our national vaccination effort. Our combined efforts have led to a steady increase in vaccination uptake in the country,” President Museveni tweeted on Sunday.

He also has also urged Ugandans to get the vaccination and remind them to continue maintaining Covid-19 measures

“I continue to remind all Ugandans that COVID-19 is still here, therefore, go to the nearest health centre and get vaccinated. Wear your mask every time you are amidst other people, wash your hands with soap, and keep a social distance. Let us keep safe,” he added.

To date, over 6.7 million doses have been administered. On Saturday, Uganda received 3,050,400 doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccines donated by the Government of Germany.
