Museveni excited about William Ruto’s Kenya presidential win

 

Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Uganda’s president has come out to express his excitement over William Samoei Arap Aruto being declared Kenya’s fifth president.

Ruto emerged winner in the tightly contested election that was concluded yesterday with the official announcement.

He polled 7,176,141 votes giving him a percentage of 50.49 while his closest rival Raila Odinga polled 6,942,930 votes equivalent to a percentage of 48.85.

Ruto after this win proceeded to thank the IEBC which did an honorary thing to declare the rightful winner.

Meanwhile Odinga’s camp was not content with the official results which were declared. Odinga’s chief agent Saitabao Ole Kanchory claimed that IEBC officials had committed electoral offenses and needed to be arrested.

However, a number of heads of state have already started to congratulate Ruto on this momentous win.

Among these include Museveni who was clearly backing Ruto. The Ugandan president revealed how he’s really looking forward to working with Ruto.

Museveni also revealed how he had already congratulated Ruto as early as yesterday through a phone call.

He’s also optimistic that the parternership between Uganda and Kenya will grow stronger once Ruto assumes office.
