Ministry of Health Confirms 97 New COVID-19 Cases On Tuesday

The ministry of health has recorded 97 new coronavirus infections bringing the country’s cumulative coronavirus confirmed cases to 10,788.

The results were from the 1,567 COVID-19 tests done on 19 October 2020. This brings the total samples tested to-date to 524,966.


Today’s confirmed cases include 96 contacts and alerts and a truck driver from Busia.

The 96 contacts and alerts that tested positive for coronavirus were from Kiryandongo with 32 cases, Kampala (25), Soroti (19), Wakiso (8), Mbale (6), Tororo (2), Lira (1), Pallisa (1), Jinja (1) and Buikwe (1).

Covid-19 Cases Cross 10,000 Mark as Uganda records 124 New Cases

Uganda’s cumulative coronavirus recoveries have surpassed the 7,000 mark after the ministry of health registering 74 recoveries on Tuesday. This brings the country’s recoveries to 7,066.

Meanwhile, the country has registered a Covid-19 death toll of 97 since the country registered it’s first death on 23th July.

In conclusion, we keep urging all the people of Uganda to always be vigilant ad follow the SOPs followed by the Ministry of Health.
