KCCA FC head coach Mike Hillary Mutebi has once again emphasized that he will continue to give an opportunity to the soccer academy players to prove themselves at the big stage.
Mutebi has been known in the past years for giving an opportunity to young talents. In addition who have become into star players.
“We have a responsibility to usher new talent to this football club, just like it has been over the years,” Mike Hillary Mutebi told KCCA FC official website www.kccafc.co.ug.

“And nothing beats ushering talent that knows the philosophy of the club. That is why we shall insist on giving a chance to some of the players from our development side.”
“Just like we did with Poloto, Okello, Anaku, Kizza, and others. In addition, we shall continue to do so even with the current crop of players.”
“We believe in these kids and we want to start a few of them when they are still young as we continue to follow their development,” he added.

Mike Hillary Mutebi gave the opportunity to young players like Allan Okello, Mustafa Kizza. Also, Sadat Anaku, Peter Magambo among others and they went to become big stars in Ugandan football.

During KCCA FC’s win against Doves FC in Uganda Cup, he handed Juma Ibrahim a senior full debut and had another youngster in Mwanje Elvis make his debut as a substitute in the same game.
“The boys that we have nurtured from our development side played well against Doves FC and it reflects the amazing work the other coaches are doing with the junior team.”

“We will keep giving them an opportunity to have them gain more experience when they are still young and this will help us as a club in the long run,” Mike Hillary Mutebi noted.
Since Mike Mutebi’s arrival at KCCA FC in 2015, the club has relied much on academy products which saw them winning several titles as well as performing well in continental competitions.
