Allegri the winner

Allegri initially joined Juventus in 2014, leading the club to four straight league.

He also won cup doubles before a fifth successive Serie A win in his final season in charge in 2019.

He also led the club to two Champions League finals, losing to Barcelona and Real Madrid.

The 53-year-old has verbally agreed to return and will sign a contract on Thursday.

Pirlo is departing after only one season.
