Faded dancehall star Richard Kasendwa aka Ziza Bafana has come out to say that lack of beef in the Ugandan music industry has led to its downfall.
The “Pomini” singer said this while appearing on NBS’ KURT show hosted by Tuff B. He was alongside Pallaso with whom they are promoting their new song ‘Mpeke’.
It should be recalled that the Ugandan music industry was largely built on beefs with different musicians clashing with each other.
Some of the most popular beefs in the day were Bobi Wine/Bebe Cool, Chameleone/Goodlyf, Bebe Cool/ Goodlyf, Chameleone/Bobi Wine/ Bebe Cool, Juliana Kanyomozi/ Iryn Namubiru, GNL Zamba/ Gravity and Cindy/Sheebah of recent.
However, most of these artistes have matured up and moved on from these old age beefs. The new crop of artistes largely prefer diplomacy. This has had fans creating the beefs themselves by debating on who is better among their favorite artists.
Bafana expressed the same sentiment as some of the fans. He said the beef needed now is musical and not the old beefs where artists would clash physically inflicting injuries on themselves.
The musician is on course to revive his music career that had long faded due to a number of reasons.
