King of the Mic MC Kats has come out to give his side of the story about Sheila Gashumba’s reaction to the salaries paid to TV presenters.
King of the Mic MC Kats alias Edwin Katamba has revealed he used to earn 20K per show on WBS TV. Therefore, he used to earn 80K per month. This comes after Sheila Gashumba shook social media with an itching statement about what NTV Uganda used to pay her.
“50,000 Uganda Shillings per show that is 1,000,000 Uganda Shillings a month (5 days in a week).!! Lol JOKERS!! Some stations should be ashamed of themselves. Come on! Why pay too little for the talent you front!! I used to get paid more when I was on Tnation than when I was on THE Beat. In addition, I used to do make up for 80K and get paid 50K…hmmm total shame on you,” Sheila Gashumba posted.

“I think Sheila didn’t explain it so well, we all began from somewhere because I used to earn 20K per month on WBS TV. In addition, that’s roughly 80K per month, however, that’s not what we are earning right now.
I think Sheila looks at the time she worked on Tv and the quick fame she gained caused her issues to doubt the salary she was paid. In addition, I also think Sheila Gashumba used to live an expensive life because she was from a rich family.
I, therefore, think we should not judge her,” King of the Mic MC Kats said
“I had a big following but because I came from a poor background, I knew my story and my hustle. Therefore any small achievement was a big deal. However, I don’t blame Sheila Gashumba for her reaction because I knew her even before she started working on NTV,” King of the Mic MC Kats added.
