Mutahi Kagwe the Heath Cabinet Secretary has confirmed that 20 Cuban doctors will jet into Nairobi today the Friday 17th of July. In addition, to give a hand in the fight against the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic.
“20 Cuban doctors will be in Kenya for the next 6 months. In addition, they will base at the Kenyatta University Teaching Referral and Research Hospital,” CS Mutahi Kagwe said during the COVID-19 status address.
Why did Kenya bring in Cuban Doctors?
“We brought in these Cuban doctors because they will have specialized skills in relation to internal medicine, cardiology. In addition, and oncology, therefore these will help us get maximum support in the fight against the global deadly coronavirus,” CS Mutahi Kagwe said.

The doctors are expected to touch down tonight and they will begin their work with their 3 months stay. However, there is a possibility of them extending their stay in Kenya for another 3 months.
Therefore, Heath CS Mutahi Kagwe with these additions, believes they will be able to support the Kenyan doctors. In addition, to curb the deadly noble Coronavirus.
