Kayunga becomes a battle zone, ballot stuffing in play

As voters continue to throng different polling stations today in Kayunga district in the by election of the LC V, the area has become a battle zone for NUP and NRM to prove their might.

As you would expect, allegations of vote rigging have already come into play on the side of the NRM.

NUP leader Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine took to his Twitter page to reveal how a number of NRM agents have been caught red handed ballot stuffing.

Kyagulanyi further revealed that many of the party’s (NUP) flag bearer’s agents have been arrested.

He however urged the people to desist this foolery.

Another shocking instance is where the ballot papers in Namayumba had the NUP symbol but instead written on NRM.

The electoral officials however told the people to go ahead and vote despite this irregularity.

More updates from Kayunga report that cars with number plates were intercepted by NUP supporters only to find them carrying pre-ticked ballot papers.

The battle is mainly between the NRM candidates Andrew Muwonge and NUP’s Harriet Nakweede Kafeero.
