Manchester United are reportedly interested in bringing Sevilla defender Jules Kounde to Old Trafford this summer.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move for Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane.
They are continuing to negotiate for the Frenchman.
According to reports, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s outfit are keen to sign both Jules Kounde and Varane.
They are aiming at bolstering the middle of their defence.
The 22-year-old Sevilla star can play at both right-back and centre-half.
This is the sort of versatility which is enticing Manchester United.
Jules Kounde is under contract until 2024 at the Spanish side.
But the club are thought to be expecting offers for him in the summer window.
Kounde was also selected by Didier Deschamps in France’s 26-man squad for Euro 2020.
Who is Jules Kounde?
Jules Kounde has made 157 professional appearances at just 22-years-old.
He became a regular for Bordeaux before his switch to Sevilla in 2019.
Sevilla broke their transfer record, signing Jules Koundé for €25 million.
He was not an immediate success on the pitch though.
In his second game, he gave away the penalty that would begin a capitulation at the hands of Eibar.
But he nonetheless became an undisputed starter from then onwards.
He formed a strong partnership with Diego Carlos, and the two became an integral part of an impressive rearguard that helped Sevilla qualify for the Champions League.
