Kyambogo university 16th graduation 2019: St.Bernard’s Mannya former student emerges Kyambogo’s overall best

KYAMBOGO – Kasaazi Goerge William a Student from the Department of Computer Science pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and Computing – BITC has emerged the overall best male performing student in the Kyambogo University 16th Graduation 2019.

Kasaazi is a former student from St. Bernard’s Mannya S.S Rakai District who is so passionate about computing and is known of his best computing skills right from his O’ Level.

Kasaazi holds a Diploma in Computer Science, which he acquired from Uganda Martyrs University where he also scored a first-class at a “Diploma level”.

According, the Vice Chancellor’s Press Conference which took place today 9th December 2019, Kyambogo University will present a total of eight thousand eight hundred ninety-two (8,892) students who have qualified for the award of Doctorates, Bachelors and Masters Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates.

Out of these 4,877 are male and 4,015 are female. Of these, 187 students will graduate with 1st Class degrees in various programmes.

The overall best performing male student is Kasaazi George William, Bachelor of Information Technology and Computing – BITC with CGPA of 4.88 out of 5.0.

The overall best-performing Females are Nantume Berardette Nakimu, Bachelor of Information Systems – IS and Kizza Joan, Bachelor of Information Technology and Computing – BITC both with CGPA of 4.83. Prof. Eli Katunguka congratulates them.

Speaking to this Website, Kasaazi is excited by the news, however, he believes he worked for it.

Kyambogo during this 16th Graduation ceremony will be graduating 2 PhD students for the first time ever in the University History. These students are Bamuwamye Micheal and Gafuma Samuel both graduating with a Doctorate of Philosophy in Food Technology.

The 16th Graduation is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 11th, Thursday 12th and Friday 13th December 2019 from Kyambogo University graduation square East End of the University.
