This was Express’ first away league victory of the season at the Arena Of Visions in Ndejje.
Following Sunday’s win, Express FC moved fourth on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table.
The Tax Collectors came into the match hoping to maintain their decent start in the league.
Prior to their game, they had managed to get three wins from the five matches they had played with two ending draws.
URA FC failed to deal with Mathias Muwanga’s long ball which Senkaaba calmly controlled well.
He then shielded left back Arafat Galiwango before slotting home.
Express FC in control
The visitors started brighty with Senkaaba running down URA FC’s backline but was unsuccessful on three minutes.
However, he tacked the ball away eight minutes later to put the visitors in the driving seat of the game.
After taking the lead, the Red Eagles continued to press looking to double the lead.
Winger Charles Musiige would have in the 35th minute but his effort went agonizingly wide on the far post.
Skipper Enock Walusimbi was then unlucky after his effort hit the post only for URA goalkeeper Hannington Ssebulunyo to pick up the pieces with seven minutes to the break.
After recess, the tax collectors came close on a few occasions with midfielder and captain Shafick Kagimu shooting from distance but his efforts all went wide.
Despite pressure from the Tax Collectors, Express kept their discipline at the back, relying on counter-attacks.
They almost scored their second of the match with five minutes to go.
But goalkeeper Hannington Ssebalunyo pulled a stunning save to deny Godfrey Lwesibawa who was almost certain to score.
The win was Express’ third of the season, and they are now on 12 points from six games.
