Eric Kambale eager to work hard for starting spot

Express FC striker Eric Kambale believes hard work will enable him to regain the starting spot at the Wankulukuku based club.

Kambale’s main aim is to convince the technical bench as he want to lead the team in the attacking department.

The 20-year-old was not so much involved in the first half of the campaign but now he feels ready for the new season.

“It’s been start-stop for me, I missed the first round of last season because of personal reasons,” Eric Kambale was quoted by the club’s official website.

“That set me back abit but I know I have to work hard to earn coach Bossa’s trust ahead of next season,” he added.

Eric Kambale struggles

The youngster broke into the limelight in December 2018 after scoring in the 3-2 victory over then-unbeaten KCCA FC.

But since then, he has been inconsistent for the six-time league champions and struggled a lot with playing time.

Last season, Eric Kambale managed a single goal last season, scoring in the Red Eagles’ 3-3 draw against Maroons in the Uganda cup before Maroons winning 4-2 on penalties.

Eric Kambale’s main aim is to dislodge Frank Kalanda, who was the team’s lead scorer with 11 goals.
