Singer Edirisa Musuuza aka Eddy Kenzo has become the first Ugandan singer to bag a Grammy nomination.
The singer was nominated in the 65th Grammy awards.
Kenzo’s nomination was for his Gimme Love song that he featured American RnB singer Matt B.
The singer will battle it out with some of the biggest musicians in this category dubbed Best Global Music Performance.
Most notably is Nigerian singer Burnaboy who was nominated for his hit Last Last.

The singer it should be recalled became the first Ugandan to win a BET award in 2014.
The 2023 GRAMMYs will air live Sunday, Feb. 5 on CBS
