Wakiso Giants custodian Derrick Emukule has urged his teammates to stay focused and work collectively just in case football resumes.
Football in Uganda was suspended in March as one way of combating coronavirus pandemic in the country.
However, football players around the country continue to work out on individual basis as per the coaches’ guidelines as they expect football to resume.
“Talent wins games but teamwork and intelligence win championships,” Emukule was quoted by Wakiso Giants’ official website wakisogiantsfc.com.
Derrick Emukule took over the number one position for the Purple Sharks after the departure of skipper Yasin Mugabi.
The former Ndejje University custodian has also declared himself ready anytime the season returns.
“I am safe and ready,” he noted.
Wakiso Giants are currently 10th on the log with 30 points from 25 games played so far.
In their five remaining fixtures, they will visit Express FC, Proline FC, and URA FC while KCCA FC, SC Villa ties will be played at their home ground.
They are also still in contention for the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
